Fone & Vape Ltd, owned by Naveen Singh Sachdeva, was raided on three separate occasions by Officers from Kingston and Sutton Shared Environment Service, and they found vapes which were over capacity with incorrect labelling and excess nicotine content, shisha tubs with no warning labelling, and counterfeit mobile phone covers.

Sachdeva pleaded guilty at Lavender Hill Magistrates to 11 charges, and on 21 May he was fined £1,750. Fone & Vape Ltd was fined £1,250, plus a victim surcharge of £500 and prosecution costs in full of £4,011.

The court also made forfeiture orders relating to 301 disposable e-cigarettes, 21 shisha tubs and 74 mobile phone cases seized from the premises on 12 May 2023.

Kingston and Sutton Shared Environment Service said: “This result sends a strong message to Sutton businesses selling illegal and potentially unsafe products that Trading Standards will take action against persistent offenders.”
