As trading standards comes to the end of a difficult year in which the daily challenges of the profession were compounded by fresh problems brought about by the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, the message of CTSI Executive Director Paul Ramsden to members is to focus on the future.
“It’s been a very tough, challenging year for everybody,” said Ramsden. “And the challenges are going to carry on into 2021, because of not only the pandemic but also the uncertainty around EU Exit.
“Nevertheless, we must do what we can to stay safe. In light of all these issues I can see some positivity and causes for optimism, and that’s very much my message to people: stay optimistic and stay safe. Let’s all come together and produce solutions that work for everybody.”
