Celebrating consumer heroes

There are many unsung heroes in trading standards, including officers, volunteers and members of the public. Their hard work and tenacity behind the scenes can often lead to real victories for consumer protection, and can make their communities safer and fairer places in which to live and work.

The CTSI Hero Award 2018 is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the remarkable individuals and groups whose work over the past year has made a positive contribution to the lives of those around them – whether that means standing up to rogue traders, raising awareness of trading standards issues, or stepping in to protect the public when their safety is at risk.

MPs from the winners’ constituencies will be among the attendees at this year’s CTSI Hero Award ceremony, which takes place on Wednesday, June 20 at One Great George Street in London. The event will present inspiring stories of bravery and altruism, highlighting the importance of trading standards in our communities and rewarding people whose actions have made a real difference.

Nominations for this year’s event are now closed.
