Over the past couple of years CTSI has made significant progress in improving our engagement with policymakers, politicians and Government, as well as increasing the media profile of the Institute and the work of Trading Standards through our policy and campaigns work.
We have also made some significant improvements to the CTSI website including overhauling the content, navigation and accessibility of the site, and improving the way content is laid out in the member area. As a result of these changes, we have decided to merge the Journal of Trading Standards website into the member-only area of the CTSI website. From September 2025, new content will no longer be uploaded to the Journal of Trading Standards website and all communication from the Journal of Trading Standards online brand will be subsumed into that of CTSI.
We have made this decision to ensure that the content we develop is a member-only benefit and by moving content to the member area this will benefit CTSI members because they can access more content in one place, rather than having to go to different websites for information.
We will also be refocusing the content we develop on key policy priorities for Trading Standards. We will continue to provide updates and news on many of the topics previously covered via the online Journal of Trading Standards, but this content will from September be found in the member area of the CTSI website. The hard copy Journal of Trading Standards magazine will remain unaffected by this.
Any members who have any ideas, news and topics they would like CTSI to cover in the Journal of Trading Standards, should continue to contact policy@tsi.org.uk. We would be happy to help promote your work via the CTSI website, members area, our social media platforms or via media activity.
