Nominations for this year’s Touchstone Award are being sought ahead of the 20 April closing date.
The Touchstone Award recognises excellence in hallmarking enforcement, one of the oldest forms of consumer protection and a vital safeguard of an industry which remains an important part of the UK economy.
Nominees for the award are assessed on the information supplied in the application. Judges are looking for innovative activity related to hallmarking and successful applicants usually have a clear plan, which could be proactive or in response to a complaint or enquiry, and excellent follow-up.
Activities eligible for the award include enforcement, education, information or a published article.
Winners will receive a magnificent silver salver to be held for one year and showcased at the CTSI Conference and by your Local Authority. Winners will be also rewarded with a day at the historic Goldsmiths’ Hall in London.
The Touchstone Award is awarded annually by the British Hallmarking Council. It is funded by the four UK Assay Offices in collaboration with the National Association of Jewellers, the industry’s biggest trade association.
