As the countdown to Christmas begins, Journal of Trading Standards is working with CTSI and the Office for Product Safety and Standards to bring you 25 festive messages about Christmas safety – making sure the toys and gifts you buy this year offer the right kind of surprise to your loved ones.
Christmas is the season to be jolly, but for all-too-many people it can be interspersed with danger and disappointment due to poor product performance and safety. Our advent calendar will run throughout December doling out daily guidance to help you avoid that fate and enjoy a safe and satisfying festive period.
On each of the Fridays before the 25th, we’ll be running a competition to win some of the most sought-after toys on Santa’s list, including Fingerlings and Glowpads. Check in every Friday to stand the best chance of winning.
The advent calendar is part of a joint campaign with CTSI and Safety & Standards that will include safety posters, an article and a video all focussed on the important issue of Christmas safety.
